JASON ALDEAN JUMPS TO #1 ON BILLBOARD COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART 14 WEEKS AFTER RELEASE

"Don't You Wanna Stay" Featuring Kelly Clarkson Also Takes the
Top Spot on the Country Digital Singles Chart

Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean's PLATINUM certified MY KINDA PARTY (written by Athens, GA's Brantley Gilbert) held on at No. two for 14 weeks behind Taylor Swift, but this week wrestled the top spot away from her to take the number one position on the country chart and the No. seven ranking on the all genre Top 200 chart. The disc hit big out of the gate, moving more units its first week than any other male country artist in over three years.

"The last two weeks have been filled with early morning phone calls I never thought I'd get...first the ACM nominations for Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year, and then this morning to wake up hearing that we're at No. one on the Billboard chart...it's just incredible.  Yeah, those are definitely the kinda early morning phone calls I don't mind getting!"

Aldean's powerful duet with Kelly Clarkson "Don't You Wanna Stay" also takes the top spot on the Country Digital Singles and iTunes Country Songs charts this week, moving 57,000 downloads. The GOLD certified track continues to bound up the radio charts toward No. one.
