JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE ANNOUNCES AUGUST TOUR DATES, ITUNES DIGITAL 45

Justin Townes Earle announces nearly three weeks of U.S. and Canadian dates starting on August 11th at Birmingham, Alabama's Sirote Theatre. The dates follow an already busy summer touring schedule including performances at Hangout Music Festival, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Celebrate Brooklyn, and Newport Folk Festival. Dates and details are listed below including a special co-headline show at Mobile, Alabama's Saenger Theatre with friend and Harlem River Blues collaborator Jason Isbell.

Earle will also release an iTunes Digital 45 on May 23rd featuring his new single "Christchurch Woman" and a cover of Bruce Springsteen's classic tune "Racing In the Street."

Earle's recent album Harlem River Blues debuted at #47 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and continues to receive widespread critical praise. The Washington Post Express calls it "exquisite," while Relixmagazine declares "Earle's weathered, timeless vocals elevate these songs toward greatness." Earle has toured constantly since Harlem River Blues' release, including sold-out headline tours in the U.S., U.K., and Australia as well as a recent support run with the Decemberists. He recently made his late-night television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, returned to the stage of A Prairie Home Companion, and played the New Orleans Jazz Fest.
