"LOUDON WAINWRIGHT III - 40 ODD YEARS" 5-DISC BOX SET Due out MAY 3

40 Odd Years into an exceptionally prolific and storied career, Loudon Wainwright III is being celebrated with an aptly named career-spanning 4-CD/1-DVD box set, including a 40-page book, with an essay by renowned journalist/author David Wild and an introduction by filmmaker and box set co-producer Judd Apatow, to be released by Shout! Factory on May 3, 2011.

The first 200 to pre-order from ShoutFactory.com will receive an exclusive booklet signed by Loudon Wainwright III himself http://www.shoutfactorystore.com/prod.aspx?pfid=5257385

40 Odd Years features songs from throughout Wainwright's career, including works of brilliance such as "The Man Who Couldn't Cry" from 1973's Attempted Mustache, which Johnny Cash would record with producer Rick Rubin decades later, to the genuinely odd "Dead Skunk," which became a #16 pop hit and thus a true novelty in the Wainwright canon, to highlights from his most recent projects, including cuts from the Grammy®-winning album High Wide & Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project. The 3+ hour DVD includes an extremely rare documentary made for Dutch television entitled One Man Guy, TV appearances on the BBC, Saturday Night Live, and Austin City Limits, as well as several unreleased concert performances.

Famed comedy powerhouse Judd Apatow, who co-produced the set with Wainwright, and who credits the artist as a great influence on his own career, writes in his introduction "I wanted to do what he has always done: to be brutally honest, emotional, hilarious and sweet all at the same time. Whenever I wonder what my tone might be, if I am confused, I just listen to a Loudon Wainwright song."

In his essay, David Wild notes that "Wainwright has long been one of our most fearless troubadours. His art is fearless even though his songs are shot full of fear and fun, false pride, tortured insecurity and a lovely and graceful kind of self-deprecating genius. Whether he's being devastatingly funny, fully self-lacerating or just brutally confessional, Loudon Wainwright III has always been a writer who sharply expresses his own distinct point of view on our larger human comedy."

The New York-born Grammy-winning songwriter has traveled a remarkable path. Discovered by Atlantic's Nesuhi Ertegun and John Hammond, Sr., the Columbia A&R man who had already signed Bob Dylan and would soon sign Bruce Springsteen, Wainwright established his literary yet utterly unpretentious take on the grand folk music tradition right from the start. The son of Loudon Wainwright II, a prominent editor and columnist for Life magazine, Wainwright III studied acting at Carnegie Mellon University before dropping out to pursue a music career. After a short time performing at clubs in Boston and New York City, he signed his first record deal, in 1968. As Wainwright recalls, "I made the first two albums that were critical successes, but no one bought them, and Atlantic dropped me. So then Clive Davis signed me at Columbia with the understanding that I'd actually try and play with some other musicians too."

A year or two later Wainwright appeared, albeit fleetingly, as Captain Spaulding — "the singing surgeon" — on three episodes during the third season of the historic television series M*A*S*H. That was the opening salvo of an impressive second career for Wainwright — as an actor. He played a fantastically flawed father on the Fox TV series Undeclared, his first in a series of projects with famed comedy powerhouse Apatow. He has also appeared in such films as Jacknife, 28 Days, Big Fish, The Aviator, Elizabethtown and Apatow's The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, in which Wainwright played an obstetrician and contributed some fantastic songs, including "Daughter" (written by Peter Blegvad) and "Grey In L.A."

40 Odd Years — which gathers together all of Loudon Wainwright III's best work — displays his unique approach to music making. Rather than write about global politics or simply sing shallow love songs, Wainwright has focused on writing about life's more domestic, and ultimately universal, aspects. He has written extensively about family and his children, three of whom – Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, and Lucy Wainwright Roche – are songwriters. Other themes include love, lust and the horrible and unkind things we do to one another in our personal lives.

Regardless of prevailing trends or commercial pressures, Wainwright has always continued to follow his beautiful, often heartbreaking muse, no matter what the consequences. This is why his music endures, 23 albums and 40 odd years later, and why Loudon remains a true American treasure to this day.

"I'm lucky — it still feels like there's work to do, and I'm doing it," says the 64-year-old singer-songwriter. "I hate the travel, the airports, the hotels, but I love the job itself, which is writing the songs and doing the shows. As a kid I had a dream of being a performer, and lo and behold it came true. Not only that but it turned out I was a writer, something I didn't necessarily want to become, probably because my old man seemed so tortured and miserable about his work. But I became one anyway. So now the plan is to keep performing and writing for as long as possible."

It's all enough to make you hope for another 40 Odd Years.

More Amor release Free EP "Thanks?"

Los Angeles based duo More Amor are excited to be releasing Thanks? today for FREE via MoreAmorMusic.com.  The six tracks are a sampling of the writing and recording More Amor have been up to for the past months. Holed up in a tiny apartment, Tom Oakes and Kyle Lobeck crafted songs inspired by partying, young Hollywood, madness, and everything in between.

Visit MoreAmorMusic.com for a Free download of Thanks?  or stream two tracks below at "Young Hollywood" or "Sloppy Little Kisses."

The release of Thanks? is the culmination of one long journey, and the beginning of another as More Amor eagerly makes plans to hit the road this summer to showcase their new material live. The results are completely infectious beat-driven tracks that draw upon the bands influences, ranging from Tegan and Sara and the Beatles to Passion Pit and Tokyo Police Club. Stand out vocal harmonies draw the listener in as whip-smart lyrics relate self-conscious tales of coasting through life with reckless abandon, guilt ridden drunken hookups, and the the fleeting nature youth.

JASON ALDEAN JUMPS TO #1 ON BILLBOARD COUNTRY ALBUMS CHART 14 WEEKS AFTER RELEASE

"Don't You Wanna Stay" Featuring Kelly Clarkson Also Takes the
Top Spot on the Country Digital Singles Chart

Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean's PLATINUM certified MY KINDA PARTY (written by Athens, GA's Brantley Gilbert) held on at No. two for 14 weeks behind Taylor Swift, but this week wrestled the top spot away from her to take the number one position on the country chart and the No. seven ranking on the all genre Top 200 chart. The disc hit big out of the gate, moving more units its first week than any other male country artist in over three years.

"The last two weeks have been filled with early morning phone calls I never thought I'd get...first the ACM nominations for Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year, and then this morning to wake up hearing that we're at No. one on the Billboard chart...it's just incredible.  Yeah, those are definitely the kinda early morning phone calls I don't mind getting!"

Aldean's powerful duet with Kelly Clarkson "Don't You Wanna Stay" also takes the top spot on the Country Digital Singles and iTunes Country Songs charts this week, moving 57,000 downloads. The GOLD certified track continues to bound up the radio charts toward No. one.

Marty Stuart Announces 10th Annual Late Night Jam

GRAMMY nominee and country music icon Marty Stuart will celebrate 10 years of his annual LATE NIGHT JAM on June 8 beginning at 10:00 PM at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.  Stuart started the CMA sponsored event as a way to welcome fans to country music's biggest week, and over the past 10 years it has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for MusiCares and has become the kick off event for CMA Music Fest.

"The Late Night Jam has evolved into the centerpiece concert event for me on my yearly calendar," said Stuart.

"It's hard to believe that this is the 10th anniversary of the show. Looking back, the guest list has been staggering. Fans come from all over the world to support us and the relationship with NARAS and MusiCares is precious to me. The Late Night Jam has raised a considerable amount of money over the last decade with the mission of helping people in need. MusiCares has done a wonderful job of distributing the funds as they see fit.  I know of a number of people who have benefitting from MusiCares and in some instances lives were saved.  That's what it's all about.  I'm looking forward to this year's event, me and the Superlatives will do our best to add another interesting chapter to the Jam's ongoing story."

"Marty's dedication and support of MusiCares through the Late Night Jam over the past ten years is unprecedented," said Debbie Carroll, executive director of MusiCares.  "His generosity has served as a catalyst to providing aid and support to so many music people in need.  We can't thank Marty enough for his unrelenting care and concern for his fellow musicians."

Over the past 10 years, artists such as Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Porter Wagoner, Neko Case, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more surprise guests have joined Marty and his Fabulous Superlatives for a marathon of live music.  The 2011 line up will be announced in the coming weeks, but tickets will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 11 at 10:00 AM CST through Ticketmaster.

Up next for Stuart is the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, live on CBS this Sunday, Feb. 13, where he is currently nominated for "Best Country Collaboration With Vocals" and "Best Country Instrumental."

Shine 2009 Announces Full-length Debut "Realism," Including Collaboration with Paula Abdul

Finnish duo Shine 2009 announces the US release of their full-length debut, Realism via Cascine on April 12. An exploration in freedom and honesty, with nods to downtempo, soul, and golden era hip-hop, Sami Suovaand Mikko Pykäri have created a perfect pop record: nine tracks dedicated to believing in something and doing what's right.

Realism is Shine 2009's follow-up to last year's celebrated EP, Associates. It marks their second release, and their second project in collaboration with experimental pop label, Cascine. Also on Realism, and in the spirit of pop experiments, Paula Abdul appears on the single "So Free." The result is fantastic.

Shine 2009 hail from Helsinki and are widely recognized with standing on the leading edge of Scandinavian pop. Their sound is distant and deliberate, clearly born in the present, but playing in other times and other places. Shine 2009 captures the universal moods of young adults caught in urban limbo - the distortion of timelines, a sense of being comfortably lost in transition.

Having set himself the task of playing all of the instruments on his 2009 debut, Clangour, Sin Fang wanted to move closer to the sound of a live band for his album and recruited a number of his friends from Múm, Amiina and Seabearto record Summer Echoes in his own studio, as well as Sigur Ros' Sundlaugin Studio.

Brian Setzer Remakes Bluegrass Classic Blue Moon of Kentucky

Brian Setzer Remakes Bluegrass Classic "Blue Moon of Kentucky"

"Blue Moon of Kentucky," the opening track on Brian Setzer's 'Setzer Goes Instru-MENTAL!" (out April 19 on Surfdog Records), has withstood over 65 years of remakes and covers, but it's never been put to the test quite like it is by Setzer.

Listen to a stream of "Blue Moon of Kentucky" at (NOT for public re-posting):
http://media.shorefire.com/digital/public/Setzer-Goes-Instru-MENTAL

Setzer goes jazzy, muscled and completely instrumental on the bluegrass standard -- enshrined in 1989 as the official bluegrass song of Kentucky – turning what Bill Monroe wrote as a "country waltz" into a western swing anthem that finds the rockabilly legend picking his way through a series of lightning quick riffs.

Originally written in 1946 for Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Bluegrass Boys, "Blue Moon of Kentucky has been covered countless times by a number of esteemed artists. Setzer joins a list that includes John Fogerty, Patsy Cline, Ronnie Hawkins, LeAnn Rhimes, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles, Jerry Reed, Jimmy Martin, and Elvis Presley.

Locksley's "Oh, Wisconsin!" and "The Whip" Play During Superbowl

LOCKSLEY'S "OH, WISCONSIN!" AND "THE WHIP"
PLAY DURING SUPERBOWL

"THE WHIP" HITS TOP 40 RADIO

 APPEARING AT SXSW

 NEW ALBUM COMING SUMMER 2011

As the Green Bay Packers hoisted the Lombardi Trophy this past Sunday, Wisconsin natives and Packer fans Locksley celebrated as well, in spirit and song as their newly minted track "Oh Wisconsin" played through the PA at Cowboys Stadium following the trophy ceremony. Earlier in the night, their song "The Whip" was the background to an NFL 2010 season retrospective that played on the Jumbotron at the Stadium.

A testament to their state pride, Locksley wrote "Oh, Wisconsin!" this past summer, and planned to release it at some point in order to raise money for Wisconsin based charities.  With the Packers NFC Championship and Superbowl birth, the band had new reason to celebrate their native home.  Needless to say it was incredible for their song to play a part in the celebration this past Sunday, but the band are even more proud of the money they've generated, and continue to hope to raise for Wisconsin based charities via the song.

As an added bonus to an already incredible evening, the NFL selected their song "The Whip" as the soundtrack to a 2011 season retrospective played on the Jumbotron during halftime at Cowboys stadium.  With its first adds to Top 40 this past week, the song is poised to be a break out single this summer.

Locksley are excited to be appearing at SXSW 2011, and prepping for the release of a new album this summer.

Paul Pigat: Boxcar Campfire

Best known as his alter ego and inbred rockabilly hero Cousin Harley, Paul Pigat is actually a man with a plethora of songs spanning nearly every musical genre. On Boxcar Campfire, Pigat reaches within his inner country soul to deliver an album of familiar, traditional country tales, told in his unique 21st century voice.

From the outset, this disc pays homage to the rocker in Pigat, calling to mind the Grateful Dead’s psychedelic country western side, as well as an intriguing take on the Rolling Stones “All Over Now.” Later, Pigat turns traditional country on tracks “Corn Liquor” and “Sweet Tooth.” The highlight of Boxcar Campfire is dobro-charged “Troubled Mind,” beautiful track that will sound just as timeless years from now as it does today.

Justin Townes Earle Signs to Tour with the Decemberists

JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE TO TOUR SUPPORTING THE DECEMBERISTS

Breakthrough artist Justin Townes Earle will support recent Billboard chart-toppers The Decemberists on their April tour including stops in Atlanta, Columbus, and at New Orleans' historic Jazz Fest. The announcement follows an already landmark year for the young artist who recently completed a run of sold-out shows in the United Kingdom and made his network television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman. Earle's third full-length album Harlem River Blues debuted at #47 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and has received critical praise since. The Washington Post Express calls the album "exquisite," while The New York Times has given reference to Earle's "…elegant, heartbreaking country songs."

Harlem River Blues was recorded at the House of David studio in Nashville, TN, produced by Earle and Skylar Wilson, and features guest appearances from Jason Isbell, Bryn Davies (Patty Griffin, Guy Clark), Calexico's Paul Niehaus, and Old Crow Medicine Show's Ketch Secor.

Following his Bloodshot Records debut with the exceptional The Good Life in 2008, Earle has continued a steady climb with each additional year and record. In 2009, he released the critically acclaimed Midnight at the Movies, while simultaneously becoming known to the broader public eye for his inspiring live performances (especially on bigger stages in the likes of the Grand Ole Opry, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and on "A Prairie Home Companion"). During that same year he won "Best New and Emerging Artist" at the 2009 Americana Music Awards and, in 2010, he was named one of "The 25 Most Stylish Men in the World" by GQ Magazine. Justin has also appeared on the HBO show Treme with his father - legendary musician Steve Earle - as well as the elder Earle's Grammy Award winning album Townes [a tribute album for Justin's middle namesake, Townes Van Zandt].

World Premiere of The Bad Plus's "On Sacred Ground: Stravinsky's Rite Of Spring"

The Bad Plus has been commissioned by Duke Performances to create a reappraisal and rearrangement of Igor Stravinsky's iconic Rite of Spring.  This undertaking is co-commissioned by New York's world-renowned Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.  The world premiere of this groundbreaking work will be performed by The Bad Plus on Saturday, March 26, at 8 pm in Reynolds Theater in the Bryan Center at Duke University.

For the past ten years The Bad Plus-bassist, Reid Anderson; pianist, Ethan Iverson, and percussionist, David King-have created a wealth of critically acclaimed work.  With nine releases since 2000, the group has received acclaim from sources such as The New Yorker ("The Bad Plus are the Coen Brothers of jazz"), Rolling Stone ("as badass as highbrow gets"), The Village Voice ("If the stars align, they will mow you down"), CMJ("somewhere between refreshing and downright awe-inspiring") and Billboard ("purists tremble while the vanguard flocks").

The project sprung from the collective minds of members of The Bad Plus and Duke Performances' director, Aaron Greenwald.  The challenge was to transform Stravinsky's iconic orchestral work, one that famously caused a riot at its Paris premiere, into a compelling work for a trio known for bending and breaking genres.

While The Bad Plus has previously arranged and performed Stravinsky's "Variation d'Apollon" along with work by Ligeti, Nirvana, Wilco and Pink Floyd, taking on the task of arranging the entire Rite of Spring is both a monumental challenge and part of a natural progression for a group relentlessly in pursuit of the best of music.

Composed and arranged over the course of a year plus, the performance will be accompanied by a multi-media presentation by filmmakers Cristina Galvin and Noah Hutton.

In addition to the foregoing commission, The Bad Plus has been working with Duke graduate student composers and has engaged in artists-in-residence activities both on campus and in the community.  The trio's engagement with Duke graduate composition students centers on the group's reading, performing, and critiquing students' original work.  This ongoing process, which includes three one-week residencies for the group, will culminate in The Bad Plus performing and recording student compositions.

This unprecedented and ongoing commission and residency project represents a bold step for the trio as well as Duke Performances, an organization already nationally known for adventurous, forward thinking programming.

They proclaimed that the song "barrels into the bar with "Return to Form" written on its forehead...The Strokes give us that same old song one more time, primed and polished for a new age."

The song is the band's first released track from their highly anticipated upcoming album Angles, out on March 22nd via RCA records in the US, and March 21st via Rough Trade Records in the UK.Angles is the band's first new release since 2006's First Impressions of Earth and marks the ambition of that album with the immediacy of the band's earlier albums  Is This It (2001) and Room On Fire(2003).  In 2010, the band returned to the road, playing and headlining major festivals in the United States and UK, including the Isle of Wight Festival, Lollapalooza, Hurricane Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Rockness, Outside Lands, and Austin City Limits.

Ivan & Alyosha recently stopped by the NPR offices for a Tiny Desk Concert, performing songs off their new  Fathers Be Kind EP. In a move that will bring fans closer than ever before, Middle Brother has created their very own iPhone app. And to celebrate, their much-anticipated title/namesake track "Middle Brother" will be debuted on the app Tuesday morning, February 8, in the official iTunes store. Middle Brother is the brainchild of Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, John McCauley of Deer Tick and Matthew Vasquez of Delta Spirit, three individuals who have joined forces to make a very special record. In a time when synthesizers and laptops seem to be ruling the stages, Goldsmith, McCauley and Vasquez are leading the pack of young rock songwriters who strive to carry on the tradition of figures such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Warren Zevon and Tom Petty. Middle Brother came together in mid-2009 when the three songsmiths realized, after several on-stage collaborations, that they shared a unique vision and wanted to take it one step further, into the studio.

Middle Brother will be performing at the following venues across the US throughout March:

Patagonia Music Launches with Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Bonnie Raitt, Philip Glass, and more

Patagonia Music Collective Benefits Enviro Groups Through Sales of
Exclusive Tracks from Music's Top Artists

VENTURA, Calif. (March 1, 2011) - Patagonia Inc., the environmentally minded apparel company, has teamed with some of today's top artists, representing a range of genres, to form the Patagonia Music Collective. The Patagonia Music Collective will launch in the United States on Tuesday March 1, 2011 at www.patagonia.com/music.

Exclusive tracks will be sold at $.99 each, with net proceeds going directly to the environmental organizations of the artists' preference. Musicians on board thus far include Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Bonnie Raitt and Jon Cleary, Maroon 5, Philip Glass, Zac Brown Band, moe., The Bad Plus, Blitzen Trapper, Mason Jennings, John Scofield, Piers Faccini, Switchfoot, Brett Dennen, Sun Kil Moon, Umphrey's McGee, Ben Solee, RaRa Riot, Spoek Mathambo, Taj Mahal, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Drive By Truckers, Bobby Long, String Cheese Incident, Ki: Theory, Moondoggies, Vusi Mahlesela, Disco Biscuits, O.A.R., Ziggy Marley, Los Lobos, Dawes, Abigail Washburn, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Brandi Carlile, Laura Jansen, Medeski Martin & Wood, Robert Randolph and the Family Band and many more.

"Musicians have been interested in partnering with Patagonia on our environmental work for years, but we didn't have the right platform to work together effectively," notes Rob BonDurant, Patagonia's vice president of marketing, "The Music Collective provides us with a way to partner directly with enviro-minded artists and to engage their fans in environmental efforts. It's truly a new model for green giving."

The Patagonia Music Collective will launch with 22 tracks bundled into two volumes of 11 tracks each. It will continue as a long-term project, with one new benefit track and three emerging tracks to be released each subsequent week. Exclusive benefit compilation albums will be available at varying intervals at Patagonia stores worldwide.

The collective encompasses all genres of music from pop to roots, reggae to indie rock, jazz to alt-country, and supports a similarly diverse range of environmental action. By featuring previously unavailable material from both established and rising artists, the Patagonia Music Collective aims to engage a diversity of fans directly in environmental giving.

"My hope is that fans see their favorite artists supporting the environment and want to get involved themselves," notes Patagonia founder and owner Yvon Chouinard, "The groups these musicians are supporting are the ones that are ultimately going to save the planet. Patagonia's hopeful other musicians will see that by just donating a song they can easily provide their favorite enviro group with a new stream of financing."

"Any endeavor that combines great music with fund raising for quality environmental organizations gets my attention," said Bonnie Raitt. "When Patagonia approached us to be involved we were excited to team up. I've been a supporter of Earth Justice for almost a decade, because, as their slogan states, 'the Earth needs a good lawyer.'"

As the latest in an extensive series of initiatives Patagonia has lead to further environmental action and awareness, the Patagonia Music Collective builds upon the success of such programs as
1% for the Planet (a coalition of 1400+ companies that pledge to give 1% of their annual sales to enviro organizations) and the Conservation Alliance (a coalition of business that grants 100% of its member dues to grassroots environmental groups). The Patagonia Music Collective is not a record label, nor is it simply a downloads-for-charity campaign. It is a perpetually evolving program that allows musicians to direct money to specific environmental causes while giving listeners rare access to previously unavailable music. Most importantly the program fosters an artistic and political exchange between the passionate communities of musicians, fans, environmental advocates, and Patagonia's own loyal, socially-conscience customer base.

"I have been excited to work with Patagonia since I traveled down to Chile a couple years ago to work on music for the film 180° South," explains Mason Jennings. "Hanging out with Yvon Chouinard (Patagonia founder/owner) and other environmentalists and hearing how they think about life and the work that Patagonia is doing to give back to the environment was truly inspiring."

The tracks will be available at www.patagonia.com/music, through a dedicated iPhone app and a web widget at participating artists' websites. Fulfillment will be handled by iTunes. The program will roll out internationally in Japan, the UK, Canada, and elsewhere this June.

Lauren Pritchard's "Waster In Jackson" Set for FEB 22 Release, Tour to Follow

Lauren Pritchard Announces U.S. Tour

Wasted In Jackson, "one of the year's best debuts" (People),

 Set For February 22nd Release

Universal Republic recording artist Lauren Pritchard is preparing for a U.S. tour with Matt White and Brendan James, set to kick off on March 17th in Little Rock, AR. The run, which will include a performance at Los Angeles' intimate Hotel Café on April 1st, will conclude in Pittsburgh on April 17th. Pritchard, who's in the midst of a U.K. tour, will play her first headlining show in London tomorrow - a sold-out concert at The Borderline that's part of the HMV Next Big Thing series.

Wasted in Jackson, which she recorded with producer/Ivor Novello-winning songwriter Eg White (Duffy, Adele) in London, will be released on February 22nd. "On one of the year's best debut albums, this soulful singer-songwriter brings to mind what Adele or Joss might have sounded like if they grew up in Jackson, Tenn," said People in a three-and-a-half star review. "The album is all new-Dusty drama: big voice, big strings, big heartache...it mixes Southern orneriness with Brit-style quirks...on the Marcus Mumford produced art-folk "When Night Kills The Day,' Pritchard moans with the dark, outsize passion of Kate Bush," observed Rolling Stone. Both Q Magazine and MOJO awarded Wasted in Jackson four stars and London's Sunday Times praised Pritchard's "beautiful, soaring voice and a set of songs that roll and swell with Carole King and Norah Jones-like country-soul catchiness."

Sherecently performed the album's lead single, "Not The Drinking," on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Conan." Pritchard's upcoming video, "Stuck," features English actor Michael Socha (Shank, Public Sex). "Painkillers," another track from Wasted in Jackson, was Q Magazine's "Track of the Day." It features The Roots' ?uestLove on drums and brought Roni Size out of a five-year hiatus to do a remix of the track.

Pritchard, who originated the role of "Ilse" in the Tony-winning musical Spring Awakening, now resides in the U.K., where she has played the Glastonbury, Latitude and iTunes festivals, opening for Florence and The Machine at the latter.

Big Joe and the Dynaflows – You Can’t Keep a Big Man Down

You Can't Keep a Big Man Down showcases Big Joe Maher bluesy, swinging vocals and rock-solid drumming throughout 12 tracks, evenly split between originals and covers. From the opening notes of the rollicking Chicago-blues title track through the last note of the disc closing “What the Hell Were You Thinkin’?,” Big Joe constantly delivers the goods.

On songs like “Evangeline,” Joe channels the New Orleans vocal style of Fats Domino so well that it’s hard to conceive of the big vocalist not being African-American. As enjoyable as Joe’s vocals are throughout, the real firepower behind You Can't Keep a Big Man Down is The Dynaflows, a bad ass backing band that specializes in various blends of blues, including Texas blues heard on “Bad Case of Love” and the Kansas City jump-style of “Confessin' the Blues.”
