Portland, Oregon's Typhoon is thrilled to make their television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman on August 4th. Catching the attention of many, Typhoon are currently on the road in support of their EP, A New Kind Of House which NPR simply called "absolutely stunning," and Absolute Punk raved "is the sort of album that makes me feel excited about music all over again."

In addition to their headlining tour, the band will play select shows with The Decemberists and perform at this year's Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Newport Folk Festivals. Tour dates below.

Watch the band's fun "Coast To Coast Tour" video here (approved to embed):

Excited to perform their single "The Honest Truth" on Letterman, the band is now offering the single for free download at

Along with calling "The Honest Truth" one of "The Best Songs of 2011," Paste Magazine raves "Music critics throw around adjectives like 'orchestral' and 'expansive' all the time these days. But here's a band that actually deserves such labels. Portland's Typhoon is an indie rock geek's dream: a dynamic 12-piece with a seemingly unending reservoir of energy, emotive vocals, arpeggiated guitars, horns, multiple drum kits and strings ... Ladies and gentlemen, meet your new critical darlings."
