Reluctant Saints to Release Debut CD, Long Drive
The Reluctant Saints will celebrate the new album with a series of CD release shows in the Atlanta area. Early airplay on Long Drive is already happening at 94.9FM The Bull, Atlanta's largest country radio station, as well as at several other stations around the south.
In an early review of Long Drive, respected Southern jam magazine Hittin' the Note saluted the band's sound. "The combination of instantly accessible, hook-laden songwriting and sweet harmony guitars make this pure ear candy. Songs like 'Blue Ridge Baby,' with its Allman-esque harmony guitars, are so catchy they stick in your head immediately."
Reluctant Saints formed in October 2010. The band consists of guitarists and lead vocalists Brian Cameron and Nathan Morgan, bassist Mark Wilson and drummer Gary Chumney. Brothers Brian Cameron (aka Brian Cameron Wilson) and Mark Wilson grew up in a musical household. Their father, Bruce Wilson, was a guitarist in the popular Southern rock band, Kudzu, and the brothers gravitated towards music at an early age.
Brian and Mark were former members of the group, Steel Horses, a southern regional touring group whose singles, "You and Me" and "Come the Ride," enjoyed radio airplay in 2002 and 2003, respectively. Steel Horses also headlined clubs and opened concerts for acts such as Confederate Railroad and Jupiter Coyote. Mark Wilson later joined critically-acclaimed Atlanta soul/blues artist Andrew Black's band and appeared on a live CD with him. In 2006, Brian was a member of the band, Ratz in the Attic, which won an "American Idol" songwriting contest for the tune, "Runaway." In addition to his work with Reluctant Saints, Brian also performs – sometimes with bandmate Gary Chumney – as a member of Ike Stubblefield's band at live shows and appears on Stubblefield's upcoming CD release that also includes slide guitar great Derek Trucks.
In addition to his sometime work with Ike Stubblefield, drummer Gary Chumney has performed with a host of other artists in the region. The Gadsden, Alabama native also spent 14 years touring with Ethan and the Ewoks, who headlined club shows and opened for groups such as the Dave Matthews Band.
Guitarist/lead vocalist Nathan Morgan has played numerous gigs in the Atlanta area over the last six years, but earlier this year achieved the rarified air of playing with blues guitar legend Buddy Guy at his Chicago club, Legends. In August 2009, Nathan performed the National Anthem prior to a Braves/Mets game to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock.

The Toxic Avenger Makes His American Debut
Previously named a Rolling Stone magazine 'Artist To Watch', Simon Delacroix - a.k.a. The Toxic Avenger - celebrates the domestic release of his "Never Stop" single [purchase here on iTunes] with the unveiling of the song's video, which premiered in the United States on Vevo [click here to watch video].
Whether sharing a stage with artists ranging from MSTRKRFT and Bloody Beetroots to Late of the Pier and Crystal Castles, or remixing acts including Ladytron, Benny Benasi and Chromeo, Delacroix's Toxic Avenger persona has become a white hot addition to the worldwide electronic scene, uplifting House by its foundation with an aggravated flurry of big beats, distorted-pop and ambient dissidence, and creating an other-worldly dimension that mesmerizes listeners and energizes live audiences.
"Never Stop" - featuring Robert Bruce of UK act South Central on vocals - is the lead track from Delacroix's upcoming release Angst, scheduled to hit the streets Stateside on Sept. 14 via Little Owl Recordings/Roy Music. Two additional singles and remixes will precede the release of the album. The disc, hatched in Morocco, is a diverse, pop-format bloodbath: punk-electro, dark folk, blip-hop anthems, and of course, Delacroix's trademark thriller beats.
With tour dates scheduled worldwide through summer, The Toxic Avenger will bring his DJ set to America in fall - check his website for complete dates.

35 Years of Stony Plain
When it came time to select material for this retrospective, only one artist was deemed a must have on all three discs – that being the incomparable Jeff Healy. The late Canadian jazz and blues rock perform who gained immense popular through the 80’s and 90’s, despite having been visionless since the tender age of just eight months. Healy can be heard performing classics “The Wildcat” and “I’m Torn Down,” but the true gem of this collection is found on the bonus DVD. Toronto filmmaker Mako Funakaka created a special tribute to Healy, leading video of Jeff performing with guests Kim Wilson, Donnie Walsh and Ian Gillan, along with rare in-studio footage, all set to Jeff’s version of Neil Young’s “Like a Hurricane.”
Fans of Stony Plain will cherish all 52 tracks found on the collection, while the uninitiated should take this as a chance to delve in to the catalogue of a label dedicated to preserving many of the finest artists its country has to offer.
The Bridge National Bohemian
Standout tracks include “Long Way To Climb,” complete with beautiful slide guitar; “Geraldine,” which showcases loud, roaring saxophones; and “Rosie,” complete with
bar room bravado that screams out “this is rock-n-roll.”
Though The Bridge recently informed fans they would be calling it quits after their annual Thanksgiving show later this year, the masses can rejoice in the fact that National Bohemian while forever serve as a testament to the band at their very best.

Ingram Hill to release acoustic album in June
Lightin’ Malcolm Renegade
As Malcolm himself says, “The songs on this album are definitely the result of years of livin’ the renegade lifestyle….doin’ things on your own terms.” He certainly does an excellent job in that regard, mixing the roots elements derived from his elders with his own ideas and sounds rarely heard in the hills of Mississippi. After years spent as side or session man, working with wide ranging artist from Hubert Sumlin to Prince, Renegade serves notice to all that Lightin’ Malcolm is a talent that should be listened to for his own merits.

THE BRIDGE: A Farewell Statement
Dear Family and Friends,
This next Thanksgiving will mark the 10-year anniversary of The Bridge. It has been an amazing ride that we have shared with you all. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we announce that this year will mark the end of The Bridge. After ten years and thousands of miles, the harsh realities of life on the road have led us to a point where we can no longer sustain ourselves as a band. We fought on to continue for as long as we could, because we truly believed in our music and cherished the deeply special connection that we have built with our audiences throughout the years. But at the end of the day, the economy won, and we are forced to close up shop.
What started as a show for our friends on one Thanksgiving Eve has led us on a wild, beautiful journey beyond our expectations. The long van rides, smoky bars, sleepless nights, wicked hangovers, cheap motels, and flat tires were all worth it for the chance to play music for you all and create those special moments that we live for. It has been the most rewarding experience of our lives. In true Bridge fashion, we will be giving you everything we have left for the rest of our shows. We will be playing our final residency at 8x10, the house that built The Bridge, in the coming weeks, as well as our beloved All Good Festival, our favorite day of the year for the last 7 years. And as if it was meant to be, we will be closing out our run as a band on our 10-year anniversary, Thanksgiving Eve, at Rams Head Live. We plan on cherishing every last moment we have with you as The Bridge.
As chapters end and new ones begin, we will continue to pursue other musical endeavors, and hope to keep the spirit of this community alive. We are forever grateful to you all, the people who we have gotten to know so well through the years, as well as those who have worked so hard and given so much of themselves for the band. And lastly we want to thank each other, the members of the band both past and present, for sweating out the tough times and celebrating the high times together to try and live the dream. We are truly brothers for life. As sad as we feel that this experience is ending, we have no regrets. We feel we have achieved what we set out to do, which is to make people happy through our music. We humbly thank you, from the absolute bottom of our hearts, for your love, support, and inspiration that has given us this opportunity. It has been an honor and a privilege.

Outside Lands Announces Artist Additions
Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents and Starr Hill Presents, in a partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, are proud to announce lineup additions for the fourth annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival. The festival will once again take place in San Francisco's historic Golden Gate Park August 12 - 14, 2011. The list of additions is below.
In its first three years, the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival has diligently worked its way into becoming a welcomed and beloved tradition in its hometown, as it is now known throughout the country as the event that celebrates in grand style all the things that make the Bay Area one of the most desirable places to live and visit. Besides raising nearly $3,000,000 for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, the festival has set a new standard for live music in Northern California and the 2011 lineup is perhaps one of its most diverse and exciting to date.
The media response to Outside Lands has been fantastic. Rolling Stone credited the event for leveraging "San Francisco's food, wine, technology and activism cultures to give festival-goers a one-of-a-kind, world-class experience," while MTV.com called it "San Francisco-style bliss." The San Francisco Chronicle emphasized the festival's "eclectic program," while the San Jose Mercury News noted the "diverse thrills" that "make us look forward to Outside Lands 2011," and the SF Appeal said that "Outside Lands is the quintessential San Francisco music festival."

JULIANA HATFIELD'S NEW ALBUM SET FOR AUGUST 30 RELEASE
Juliana Hatfield, intrepid indie pop/rock veteran, inimitable guitar goddess, singer, songwriter, and author, is set to release Speeches Delivered To Animals and Plants on August 30th on her own Ye Olde Records, which is distributed by Junketboy. Speeches... is a successfully-conceived album based loosely on the concept of failure. It was entirely fan-funded via www.pledgemusic.com, wherein individuals pledged varying amounts in advance of the album's completion for different returns including Hatfield memorabilia, a guitar used on the recording of the new album, original Hatfieldartwork, song workbooks, demos, and more. PledgeMusic gives artists the option to build a charitable donation into their campaigns;Juliana will be donating a percentage of the funds raised to two of her favorite charities, the Save a Sato animal shelter in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachusetts.
Hatfield says, "I really think that PledgeMusic and similar sites are the future of music, especially for people like me who have devoted cultish fanbases but who have never sold a ton of records and don't really fit in anywhere at major labels. Working with this new model, you go straight to the fans, who become your patrons, in a very direct and vital way. They have a special kind of access to you in a way that makes them happy - they see the progress of the album-making in real time with the video and audio updates I post at the PledgeMusic site. And I have total ownership of the music at all stages, present and future. I love working like this."
Speeches... is the follow up to last year's Peace and Love, whichPaste Magazine hailed for its "fearless honesty" while SPIN extolled its "affirmations turned narratives that are sharpened rather than softened by their harmonies." Working at Q Division Studios in Somerville, Massachusetts, Hatfield produced and played all the six-string guitars and keyboards on the new album. Ed Valuaskas played bass and Pete Caldes played drums. (See below for track listing.) The 13 songs feature Hatfield's distinctive but typically underrated guitar stylings-highly emotive but not overly slick, and resonating with a range of human emotions from joy to despondence to goofiness to resignation.
What's with the title? "I think that when people get to the presumed halfway point in their lives, they inevitably look back and assess what they have or have not accomplished. There is an acceptance of one's limitations, a scaling back of goals, a settling into the way things are," observes Hatfield. "I think I have always had a pretty measured perspective-I am always grateful for all the good opportunities I've had but at the same time I'm never really content. I always want to do more, to be better-a better singer, performer, writer, person, friend, sister, daughter, etc. I don't shy away from the dark stuff -without the darkness there would be no light."
Hatfield first came to prominence in her teens as a founding member of the Blake Babies. After four independent albums with the group, she signed to Atlantic as a solo artist and had a string of modern-rock hits (including "My Sister," "Spin The Bottle" and "Universal Heartbeat"). She left the label in 1998, signing to Zoe Records (a Rounder Records imprint) and releasing four well-regarded albums, including 2004's In Exile Deo, named as one of that year's 10 best albums by The New York Times' Jon Pareles. In 2005, Hatfieldcame full circle, returning to her independent roots and founding Ye Olde Records. Her autobiography, When I Grow Up, was published by Wiley & Sons in 2008.
"I've gotten to a place where I am really proud of the large body of work that I have produced, regardless of how my work is or is not received, or how many records I've sold," she reflects. "I know my weaknesses but I also know that I have gifts and I've made the most of them with this new album."
The track listing for Speeches Delivered To Animals and Plants is as follows:
1. Stray Kids
2. Taxicab
3. Vagabond
4. Sex and Drugs
5. Failure
6. Someone Else's Problem
7. Change The World
8. Batteries

SHWAYZE & CISCO ADLER READY FOR SUMMER WITH NEW ALBUM
On Island In The Sun, their first truly independent album, slated for release August 16th under Bananabeat Records, the duo now officially goes by the name Shwayze & Cisco Adler (abbrev. Shwayze & Cisco) to express the true nature of the collaboration.
"We've both grown as people and as artists," says Adler, who first met Aaron Smith a.k.a Shwayze when the rapper jumped on-stage during Adler's previous band's set and began freestyling. The pair immediately hit it off. "We were really just two dudes in a Malibu studio having fun and making music as a soundtrack. It all came from that."
"The core of this record was just us jamming together," says Shwayze. "The little break we took from the last record, made us each stronger in our areas. I think we're back to where we were when we started. We've been a duo since day one. Shwayze and Cisco Adler is a better representation of what it really is."
The album, produced by Adler in Bananabeat Studios, will include the title track, a breezy acoustic number, and "Butterflies," a song first previewed on the FREE The W's mixtape released earlier this year. Adler, who has recently worked with Mike Posner, G. Love, and Unwritten Law to name a few, was eager to get back into the studio with his partner in rhyme and write the next chapter in the duo's career.
Shwayze & Cisco will hit the road with Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution on the Seedless Summer Tour 2011 tour, starting July 21 in Missoula, MT., running through August 27 in Chicago, IL.
"We just want people to know that 2011 is the summer of Shwayze and Cisco," says Adler. "We've rekindled the magic between us. Without major label constraints, we're free to do things our way. Our collaboration is key. We consider ourselves a career band."
